Transparent glass and uranium oxide additive, hand-blown, hand-cut. The gently glowing, yellow-green uranium glass, the so-called Annagelb (Anna's Yellow), was named after his wife by the author of this glass colouring technique, the North Bohemian "glass king" Josef Riedel (1816 - 1894). He introduced the production of uranium glass in the 1840s in Polubný in the Jizera Mountains. In the same area and using the same production process, these reproductions are made today, almost indistinguishable from the 150-year-old originals.
